High priority is given to businesses owned by women and people of color.

grant programs

Local Business Small Project Fund - Intended for projects of less than $5,000, our 42nd Avenue will provide up to 20% of project cost for local businesses. This grant opportunity is available on a rolling basis. eligibility and funding limits apply.

funding eligibility Scale:

  • post jobs locally - mandatory for eligibility

  • new business - 5% funding eligibility

  • existing business (3+ years) - 10% funding eligibility

  • established business (6+ years) - 15% funding eligibility

  • woman/minority owned business - +5% to funding level

Tenant Improvement Grants - Our 42nd Avenue can provide limited funding for eligible projects. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis and given in accordance with community priorities.

Special Project Grants- Opportunistic grants for high-priority projects. For eligibility, applicants must meet community priorities and projects must be timely. As with all Our 42nd Avenue grants, only permanent, physical improvements are eligible. We give high priority to woman and minority owned businesses, as well as those facing significant economic disadvantages.  Please contact Michael DeMarco at for more information.
